I have $167 left of $200 to thrift this fall: the vintage art easel hunt

September 17, 2026 · 1 min · Thrift store

Today's mission was a vintage art easel, and we found the art but not the easel. Along the way: a vintage Singer sewing machine, a MISA Los Angeles dress, a Wildflower phone case, a Kate Spade case and the Sony Dream Machine that's been there for weeks. We left empty handed, so the budget stays at $167.

$167 left and a vintage art easel to find

I have a budget of $167 left to thrift for fall. Today I want to try and thrift a vintage art easel. Let's go to the thrift store.

The art, the Singer and a mystery face

We found the art, but not the easel. Absolutely beautiful and so tempting to get as decor. I have to be honest, I do not understand what this is.

$30 boots vs a $3.99 clock

I'm debating on these, but I think the price of $30 has decided it for us. Because I think price tags like this, $3.99, are a bit more what we're searching for.

Wildflower and Kate Spade phone cases

This Wildflower case almost belongs in a museum, it was so popular. I really like this case, it just doesn't fit my phone.

The Sony Dream Machine and a table that isn't an easel

This Sony Dream Machine has been here for weeks, and every time I see it I think, do I need it? Do we spy any mini art easels on this? Could it be an easel? No, it's a table.

Mona Lisa, $5 ribbons and MISA Los Angeles

Whenever I see music stuff, I really hope a kid gets it. Oh, the Mona Lisa herself. I love these ribbons. So tempted to get them, look, they're only $5. Really cute for gifts.

MISA Los Angeles is an expensive brand, but this isn't my style. And this dress unfortunately is very plasticky. This would be so cool if it was a coat rack.

Vintage tights and the best find of the day

Any showstoppers in the vintage tights today? Tell me if you agree, the best find today is definitely the Singer sewing machine. I think it would look really cute with an easel, but it's not an easel.

Leaving empty handed

Which means we're leaving the thrift store empty handed today, and we'll continue our search after work tomorrow.
